Celebrating the New Year

I can't believe it's already the start of 2015! So much has happened and is going to happen this year. This year Tanya and I went up north by train and celebrated the New Year with my fiancé and Alla! We had a great couple of days there exploring Seattle, UW, and Tacoma. Unfortunately, Yura and I got sick. But it looks like it's going around and many people are getting sick. Stay warm and keep drinking tea!

 I cannot believe I am actually writing this, but I have officially graduated from Portland Community College with an Associates degree in Ophthalmic Medical Technology. These past two years have been challenging at times, many tears shed, some joyous moments, and most importantly an amazing opportunity to be able to live here in the USA and go to school and study. So blessed to have learned so much and having this knowledge that God has given me. I have had the opportunity to work at 6 different clinics throughout the past years as an intern and be able to learn a lot and do the work that a tech would do. So happy that I've established great relationships and that a couple of clinics wanted to hire me! I am excited to be able to always keep growing in this career and hopefully land a job in Federal Way at a clinic I am looking into. September Getaway

This year for my husband's birthday, I really wanted to get away somewhere. We decided to chase summer all the way to San Diego! We had such a great time exploring the beautiful beaches, small cute coastal towns, and relaxing. We got so lucky with beautiful 80 degree weather all weekend.   ~~Mariya Cheban
